What SortedMate is

SortedMate is a receipt, invoicing and tax app made for Australian sole traders and ABN holders. It does two core jobs, equally well:

• Invoicing — create and send professional GST tax invoices in seconds, with your ABN and bank details saved and auto-filled.
• Receipts & expenses — snap a photo of any receipt and our AI reads the merchant, amount, GST and date, then sorts it business, personal or mixed.

At tax time it pulls both sides together into a clean, itemised report (PDF or spreadsheet) for your accountant, with bank-statement import so nothing slips through. It's available on iOS, Android and the web, in six languages.

Why we built it

Sole traders are experts at their trade — not at paperwork. Yet most tools are built for big businesses: expensive, bloated, and confusing. The result is lost receipts, invoices sent late, and a stressful, guess-heavy tax time. We started SortedMate to fix exactly that: a single app that handles the money side simply, so a tradie, freelancer, gig-economy driver or contractor can invoice a client and file an expense in seconds, from their phone.
