These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of SortedMate (the "Service"), operated by Joe Sebastian Soto Laguna (ABN 88 526 598 937) ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old and operating (or intending to operate) as a sole trader or small business in Australia. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account, and for providing accurate information.
SortedMate lets you record expenses and income, capture receipts (including automated reading of receipts and imported bank statements), categorise them, and generate summaries and reports you can share with your accountant. Automated reading is a convenience and may produce errors; you must review and confirm each entry. Bank-statement suggestions are candidates for your review and are never recorded as deductible on their own.
You retain ownership of the data and files you upload (receipts, statements, records). You grant us a limited licence to store and process that content solely to provide the Service to you (including sending images/PDFs to our automated-reading provider as described in the Privacy Policy). You are responsible for having the right to upload the content you provide.
You agree not to misuse the Service, including: attempting to break security or access other users' data; uploading unlawful content; interfering with the Service's operation; or using it to break the law. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.
We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may update, change or discontinue features. We are not responsible for third-party services (such as Supabase, Anthropic, Stripe or hosting providers) or for internet outages.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for any loss arising from: your reliance on data produced by the Service (including automated readings and estimates); errors in your records; tax outcomes; or unavailability of the Service.
Australian Consumer Law: certain guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law cannot be excluded. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under that law. Where our liability can be limited, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the relevant event, or (at our option) re-supplying the Service.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms. On deletion, your data is permanently removed as described in the Privacy Policy — export anything you need first.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the courts of that jurisdiction.
